Our Programs

Since 2018, FADPE asbl. has been implementing various programs to achieve our mission. These are our current focus areas:

  • We work in schools and villages around Virunga National Park, including Goma City, Nyiragongo, and Masisi territories. Our activities include:

    • Teaching plant-based nutrition and coordinating vegan school lunch campaigns

    • Promoting plant-based products by establishing school and community vegetable gardens

    • Mobilizing communities to defend animal rights

    • Fighting climate change through reforestation initiatives

    • Daily plant-based meals including porridge, beans, potatoes, rice, vegetables, and fruit

    • Education on plant-based living and its benefits

    • Language lessons and vocational training for community integration

    • Psychological and social support

    • Construction of dormitories and health center facilities

    • Training center for literacy, sewing, arts, and other trades

3

  • We multiply and distribute seeds while training beneficiaries in agricultural techniques that don't exploit animals.

The vegetable and food crop seed multiplication and distribution program helps us to sustain vegan practices by helping those who embrace a plant-based lifestyle easily find plant-based products in their vegetable gardens on their respective plots.

4

  • We raise awareness about gender-based violence, promote positive masculinity, and facilitate community dialogue to prevent conflicts.

  • This program educates the community to combat climate change by reducing or ceasing human activities and also to encourage greater involvement in reforestation.
